DC-DC Convertor

DC-DC Convertor, making 9 volts from 1.5 volts We use 9 volts cell for the handy transceiver. But 9 volts cell do not have so many capacity. Therefore I made this convertor. This convertor exchanges 1.5 volts to 9 volts.
On many magazines, DC-DC convertor is introduced. Their common construction are as follows. Some type of oscillator drives an first side of transformer. On the second side of transformer, there comes a high voltage being proportional to the turns of winding of the coils of the transformer. And the high voltage is detected by the diode detector.
In this gear, the oscillator is constructed by the free running oscillator. The transformer is driven by the push pull driver. I used a power transformer for the transistor equipment as an transformer of this gear, on opposite side from the original usage.
I indicated the data of the performance of this gear. Look it! I got maximum 50mW from this convertor. it will be used as a power supply of the transistor radio and a QRP rigs.

Hello! In my opinion ther is an mistake on schematic DC-DC converter (DCDC1.gif ). Diodes IS1588 should be conected reverse side ( anode of diode should be conected to colector of transistor). It should be get the better of efficiency . By the way, your www site is very interesting. Jarek Przybysz
